My view on education:

I have always had a passion for sharing my love of music in as many different ways as possible, and feel that teaching others is one of the most important ways in which we can share our gifts. There is nothing quite like seeing the twinkle in someone's eye whenever they discover a doorway to a new world of understanding. Whether it be in performance, composition, arranging, or improvisation, I am committed to cultivating an empathetic educational experience by relating my knowledge to students' expressions and interests.

Because I am interested in so many different facets of life and art, I always seek to find different ways of connecting disciplines; my teaching style reflects this "big picture" way of thinking, while still recognizing the importance of attention to detail.
